Hair fall

All men go bald naturally and it is easily accepted as well, socially. That is a fact. However, it isn’t the case with women, unfortunately. Hair loss can be devastating to most women and one of the major bringers of hair loss in a woman’s life is menopause.

Menopause brings on hair loss in women and this can lead to very stressful situations as menopause itself is stressful and causes a multitude of hormonal changes, anxiety and a lot more.

What does really happen?

Menopause occurs when the ovaries stop the secretion of the female hormones. This signals the end of the natural reproductive phase in a woman’s life. Now, when this happens, the hair, which is actually a secondary sexual feature, starts losing the protective influence of the many feminizing hormones which it was always used to. This leads to a situation where there aren’t hormones present anymore to protect the hair and hence, women begin to go experience hair fall.

What can you do?

You should try to consume the richest diet possible. Make sure it has adequate amounts of vitamins and proteins. You should also pay a visit to your dermatologist. There are lotions available which promote the re-growth of hair without any systemic side effects, which could be prescribed.

As always, seeking help sooner for hair loss is better. Pay a visit to your dermatologist right away if you are anticipating menopause anytime soon.
