There is always a lot of speculation as to why herbal face washes are better than using the common chemical face washes available in market. Even the herbal products which are stored in bottles or tubes should stay sterile so that it doesn’t bring any bacterial infection to the skin. Inorder to achieve this, some amount of chemical elements are added to herbal face washes.

Diazolidinyl urea is among the common chemical elements added in herbal face washes. Unlike the name sounds, diazolidinyl urea is not a derivative of cow urine or anything similar. Diazolidinyl urea releases very small amount of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a gas which sterilizes or kills bacteria. So, diazolidinyl urea is an ingredient in herbal face wash to keep the product sterile and keep it safe from contamination. Herbal face washes containing diazolidinyl urea is safe to use and doesn’t cause any irritation.
